The other day I got to searching #falldecor on instagram and ran into some good stuff. I had to share my favs. For fall I love maroon and mustard yellow, lots of textures and any decor (or scent) that promotes a comfy, cuddly ambiance for watching football with my boys. Yes, I realize I sound like such a “basic white girl” as I hear the cool kids apparently say, but at least I didn’t mention pumpkin spiced lattes, which I don’t drink.
First up, my personal favorite and most recent obsession: antlers. Even better, yarn wrapped antlers paired with a very textured, colorful serape.
And just when you thought you were out of mason jar season they come up with these… I love them! Most of my fall decor is more “thanksgiving-esque” rather than spooky Halloween decor, but I feel like these mason jars are a nice way of adding a bit of Halloween without putting plastic pumpkins and orange Christmas lights all over your porch.
You can find these on Instagram here: Just Add Glitter By Marla
Next up, a DIY that even I could do. Thanks Renee Richello for giving me a DIY project that is actually do it yourself. Pretty pumpkins or gourds and Sharpees are all you need!

And my last Instagram find… paper garland in my always favorite fall colors! I envision these on the wall behind or hanging on a buffet table at Thanksgiving. Seriously, I can’t get over these colors.
One more thing I have to mention. If you want more fall decor inspiration, you HAVE to check out the White Buffalo Styling Co’s “Blogger Styling Home Tours- Fall 2014”. Talk about dream home decor… Here are some of my favorites but go check out all of the home tours from the amazing bloggers they featured.
A nook with antlers (yes, more antlers) comfy things and lots of patterns, yes please. From The White Buffalo Styling Co’s Fall Home Tour
This entire tablescape, but especially that centerpiece. Holy crap! I’m sure you can buy this but I can just hear my husband’s voice… “Don’t buy that! I’ll go into the woods behind Pop Pop’s and FIND that!” This beautiful dining room is from Dwellings by Devore’s Fall Home Tour.
And one last little detail for our harvest season. We love this country detail… my house is surrounded by wheat and corn fields after all. I might have to steal this one for our Thanksgiving tablescape. This one is from Iron & Twine’s Fall Home Tour.
I’m going to end this here because I could probably go on forever. Seriously, go check out the rest of them here.
