If the title didn’t give away my feelings on this new product to my collection, then I don’t know what to say. There is a reason Temptalia has been talking about this product for years. There is no good reason that I ignored her suggestions for years.
So this Christmas when my mom asked me to put a few things on an Amazon wish list since she had no clue what to get me, I stumbled back upon Jack Black’s Intense Therapy Lip Balm and immediately clicked “add to wish list”.
For reference, my other favorite lip moisturizers are from Nivea (lip butters and all of the “kiss of” balms) and the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. Up until now I was using Nivea of some form during the day and the Bite lip mask overnight.
Jack Black’s lip balm blows them both out of the water because I can (and do) use it night and day…all day. Everyday. It replaces them both and for a great price.
I definitely prefer this over the extremely hyped up Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask for a few reasons.
1. Price point. $26 or $7.50? Easy choice.
2. Texture. I could never get used to the texture of the Bite lip mask. It was like Aquaphor on crack and my lips felt uncomfortable the entire time I wore it.
3. The results. I could have gotten past the Bite mask’s texture if the results were much better, but I get the same if not better results from my Jack Black lip balm. The mask does have amazing longevity, but once again, it doesn’t seem to improve the end result.
I will continue to buy the Nivea lip products due to price and the fact that they are sold everywhere, but Jack Black has beaten Nivea out as well in my opinion.
It has a thick, yet comfortable texture similar to Vaseline. I got Natural Mint & Shea Butter which has a slightly minty smell and feeling on the lips which usually I dislike but it’s mild and I don’t seem to mind it at all!
My lips feel amazing when I use this. I 100% recommend it and am going to scour amazon for some sort of bulk deal right now, so I better hurry. 🙂 See ya next time!
P.S. It gives your lips a high shine, kissable look! If I do say so myself. 😉
