Hot summer day? Here’s the makeup I recommend.
I envision wearing this on a day where I’m going to be out and about on a hot summer day. Getting sweaty, maybe doing something outdoors, but I still want to look presentable. On these kind of days, the makeup I wear is minimal, long-lasting, sweat-proof and definitely cake-free.

And onto the reviews!
Face: I love using tinted moisturizers in the summer. Lately I have been using Sonia Kashuk’s Radiant+ Tinted Moisturizer because it has SPF which is a must especially in the summer. I really like it, but don’t expect it to be quite as moisturizing as the name would suggest. If you have very dry skin, I’d go with something else.
I have also been using a primer lately to make my makeup more long lasting. Despite the sweat that might happen throughout the day, I still use the Maybelline Master Prime in Blur + Illuminate. If you are oily, you will hate this, but if you want glowy skin you will love it! It also has extra SPF which is another reason I chose this one.
Since the primer is so glowy and I know I am going to sweat, this is one of the few times that I will use powder, but only on the areas I need it most (nose, forehead and under my eyes). For me, Revlon ColorStay Pressed Powder has done the job and has not looked cakey at all when dusted lightly on my T-Zone.
To warm up my complexion I kept it simple and bronzed up my skin with my current fav bronzer from Too Faced. Check out my full review here! No blush, no highlight. I wanted to keep it minimal, glowy and bronzed.
Eyes: The shadow was a completely unnecessary step and depends on how put together you want to look. This is definitely an easy, summery shadow look. I have been LOVING the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bold Gold. I have loved the Color Tattoos for a long time (they last for a long time and provide an amazing base), but never picked up Bold Gold until this summer. I’m loving the soft, blended out gold look it gives me.
I also rediscovered Wet N Wild’s Walking On Eggshells Eyeshadow Trio. The bottom “eyelid” shade is just plain gorgeous. This trio is worth the hype, but you probably could have guessed that considering that it is just a few dollars. AMAZING!
For brows, I went with my simple and easy, tinted brow gel from Maybelline– but you all already knew I loved that– along with my forever holy grail CoverGirl Clump Crusher in the waterproof formula which is a must for hot and sweaty summer days.
And finally, LIPS: Go for a tinted lip conditioner with SPF in it to protect your lips. I always want something comfortable on days like that (dry matte lips, no thanks) with a slight tint in whatever shade I’m loving at the moment. For the summer? A pretty pink is perfect. Unfortunately, I’ve been informed that Mac discontinued these Tinted Lip Conditioners. This one is in Petting Pink and I have not found anything to replace it yet!
What lip product should I try instead?
