The Claim: “The Nordstrom Naturals Palette features a well-edited, exclusive collection of its 15 best-selling M·A·C shades. Each powdered eyeshadow is long-wearing and highly-pigmented, applying evenly and blending and building beautifully.”
Value/Availability: Well it was $85. It is now only available on amazon, if you can find it. I am not sure if it is temporarily out of stock at Nordstrom or if they are gone for good (the palette is limited edition).
BUT, on the positive side, ALL of the colors are in Mac’s permanent collection, so I still wanted to swatch these for you in case any stand out and you want to buy certain shades. They are some of Mac’s best neutral shadows, after all.
That being said, this palette was a great value as opposed to buying them all separately and similar palettes from Nordstrom are still available!
Vapour (peach-pink with violet pearl and velvet finish), Honey Lust (bronze-dipped peach with lustre finish), All That Glitters (beige with gold pearl and veluxe pearl finish)
Saddle (golden orange brown with matte finish), Mulch (red-brown with bronze pearl and velvet finish), Ricepaper (peachy gold with shimmer and frost finish)
Amber Lights (peachy brown with shimmer and frost finish), Woodwinked (warm antique gold with veluxe pearl finish), Wedge (soft muted beige taupe with matte finish)
Brun (muted blackish-brown with satin finish), Omega (soft muted beige tape with matte finish), Satin Taupe (taupe with silver shimmer with frost finish)
Embark (intense reddish-brown with matte finish), Beauty Marked (black-red with sparkle pearl and velvet finish), Carbon (intense black with matte finish- I could not for the life of me, get decent pigmentation)
My Stand Outs: Saddle, Ricepaper, Satin Taupe, and Embark
My Overall Opinion: This isn’t going to be a FULL, in depth review of every shade because, well, I haven’t played enough with all of them, yet and that just wouldn’t be fair. But, overall, there is a reason these are some of Mac’s most famous, well loved colors. Some lack in the pigmentation that I was expecting from them (ahem, Carbon) or are too chalky to work with at all (ahem, Honey Lust and Beauty Mark), but aside from those, I am very happy with the textures, pigmentation, and finishes. Plus some of the shades are so gorgeous I have a feeling they WILL become must-haves in my collection.
