BECCA Afterglow Palette | Hauli-beau-days!

Today, on the very first day of “Hauli-beau-days”, I am reviewing BECCA’s Afterglow Palette. It is exclusive to Ulta for the holidays, $39.50, and said to be “a collection of five BECCA best sellers designed to add light, lift and a touch of color”.

Look at this beautiful little rose gold baby.

That’s my weird makeup-obsessed self trying to get out and say “the packaging is on point”.

First, let me just say… I can see what all of the hype is about. The sheen on the shimmering skin perfectors is gorgeous and I really like how they apply.

That being said, they are very soft powders. The palette can get quite messy with just one tap of the brush. I’d rather have more pigment, though, than not enough, but don’t go overboard!

Also, three of the shades are all pretty bronzey, so I crave a little more variety. Rose Gold and  Topaz are too dark to be used as a highlight on my skin tone, so I will have to use them as blush toppers only and may not get as much use out of them. This might be a better palette for darker skin tones!

Mineral Blush in Wild Honey
Mineral Blush in Flowerchild

My favorites? So far, Moonstone and Wild Child! Gorgeous!

Left to Right: Moonstone, Rose Gold, Topaz, Wild Honey, Flowerchild

Overall, I think it is a great palette that any beauty lover would enjoy. It was a great way for me to test out quite a few of BECCA’s products that I have been wanting to try for a while. Despite the few negatives mentioned above, these are quality powders and I can see why people love them!

Pretty colors! I’d probably end up using these a eye shadows, too!
