MealEnders #FitHolidays | Review & Giveaway (closed)

Yup, yet another giveaway here on AMSL! I’m on a roll. (There’s also a discount code for you too! But more on that later 🙂 )

What I’m here to tell you about today is MealEnders.

My husband STOLE the mint chocolate one and brought it to work! Guess that’s his favorite flavor!

What is MealEnders, you say? Well, they call themselves a “signaling lozenge” and are used for weight management.

Are you skeptical? I was too… yet, intrigued.

According to the company “MealEnders consist of two components: a sweet, outer reward layer and a cooling/tingling inner core. The outer layer provides a measured dose of “dessert” associated with the end of a meal, while the inner core engages the trigeminal nerve (the nerve that senses “taste”) with long-lasting cooling/tingling sensations that cleanse the palate.

Sucking on a lozenge when you know you’ve consumed enough — but can’t stop — keeps your mouth and mind occupied during the 20-minute Overeating Zone, giving your body’s natural satiety process time to catch up.”

Each Signaling Lozenge contains has 2 grams of sugar and 15 calories. Not bad compared to that sleeve of cookies you were about to binge on after dinner 😉 Plus, they do taste pretty good (especially considering I don’t have a sweet tooth)! Still, they satiate my occasional craving for a bite of something sweet. Even the Mocha flavor was surprisingly delicious to me despite the fact that chocolate and coffee are two of my least favorite flavors!


But do they work? I honestly think so! I mean, I haven’t seen drastic “weight management” results, but I can see how they could make you stop eating. It’s that tingly sensation you get towards the end that is supposed to cleanse your palette. It feels kind of weird at first to be honest, but I also kind of like it and after I finish the lozenge I no longer taste whatever I was just eating in my mouth which is often why I keep eating!

  1. My method to stop overeating is to just get a small portion on my plate: getting more food then becomes a conscious choice rather than the subconscious one to keep eating more off the plate! I’ll tell you, it does not always work though… I’d love to try these lozenges! They sound like a great idea.

      That’s a good point! I TRY to make a point to do that with my salty snacks that I crave because that’s why I could eat waaayy too much of!
