Am I the only one who always seems to draw the short straw and has to bring the most BORING dishes to holiday parties? Here is how it usually goes:
“What can I bring?”
“Ummm… how about a salad?” or “Maybe some sort of vegetable dish? Your sister in law is already bringing to broccoli casserole” (aka the most popular veggie dish this side of the bay bridge, nothing can compete!)
Well, alright. I can get creative with vegetables… I can do a fun salad. Add some nuts, interesting cheese, fruit…I can even make the most “EPIC” salad ever (yes, I literally did a post on this last year. Wow, I’m bitter 😛 haha!). But no matter what it just doesn’t compete with the rich and cheesy casseroles or super adorable winter-themed desserts! Am I right?
So, if you’re like me and want to be ready to make a suggestion as to what you can bring to the table next time you’re on the phone with the host (and a healthy one, at that!)… then this post is for you!
Okay, let’s get on with it. Here is what I think you should bring to your next Holiday Party!
PLUS, these recipes are on the (mostly) healthy side, so you know there will be at least ONE thing at the party you can eat guilt-free!
