The Low Maintenance Friend & Greek Kabobs w/ Tzatziki

Happy Friday! This has been a rough week, well, a rough few weeks really, but I have talked about that enough. It’s time to be positive. Anyways, today is Friday and Fridays are awesome, so I’m happy.

Plus! My friend Emma is coming to visit 🙂

Let me just get a little sappy here.

As you grow up and move away or have kids/get married before a lot of your other friends, you quickly find out which friends are going to stick around. I’m much more appreciative of the friends that I DO have because with a child and husband taking up most of my time, I don’t have time for those friends that bring drama or aren’t going to be there for me when serious family stuff happens.

My OTHER forever friend, Linds, sent me this article, “A Thank You to My Low Maintenance Best Friend.” First of all, I find it a huge compliment that I’m considered a low-maintenance best friend. Second, that is also how I would describe these two friends I’m talking about.

Don’t you love those friends that you can go without talking to for a few weeks then have the most random, craziest group text that goes on and on one day? Or you don’t see them for months (we all live between 2-4 hours from one another) then when you finally get together nothings changed?

Yep, that’s who I’ll be spending my weekend with 🙂 She’s always the first to visit when my husband has to go somewhere for the military too.

ANYWAYS, onto the real reason for this blog post! This video!

I have been pretty active on my Youtube Channel and, while you can always find my vlogs on the “video” page of my website, I rarely post about it on my blog!

It was hard to choose which video to feature (since I am posting 2-3 vlogs a week, cough, subscribe. #noshame), but I wanted to share this one in particular because I made a pretty awesome recipe. I figured, what better time to share it than when I’m participating in Runaway Bridal Planner‘s Blog Hop? If anyone could appreciate a good, healthy, weeknight recipe it is the lovely bloggers participating in this hop. 🙂 Am I right?!

I do apologize for the lack of exact measurements, but honestly who doesn’t “eyeball” things when cooking in their own house?!

Also, I rarely have Greek food, but this was amazing. I totally recommend! If you have any Greek recipes I should try, share it with me!

P.S. How about that “farty” little helper of mine?? Hahaha!

  1. I’m visiting from the blog hop. I’ve moved around a lot and have had to say good-bye to a lot of friends and family. One of the greatest parts of social media, though, is it helps us to stay connected. High school friends from 1981 (gasp!) and I have reconnected and are in contact with each other frequently now!
That looks delicious! I eyeball everything when I cook – drives my son and husband crazy!
