Currently Loving, Coveting & Not-So-Liking | ColourPop, Nars, Surratt & More

I haven’t done one of these in a while and it’s about time I do! If you’re not familiar, it’s kind of like my version of a monthly beauty favorites. This is where I talk about some makeup and beauty products that I have been liking recently along with what’s on my ever growing wish list and I, of course, have to mention any new product “fails” I’ve discovered.

Let’s get into it.

Currently Loving

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso

I don’t know what possessed me to grab this out of the back of another makeup bag that I don’t go into much, but I’m so glad I did. It’s no wonder why people love this blush. It’s probably one of the best drugstore blushes out there. It’s a gorgeous, shimmery peach that adds a warm glow to your skin. It’s reminiscent of Nars’ Orgasm and will definitely be worn well into summer.

Clinique Honey, Honey Lip Set (Sweet Pot in Pink Honey & Almost Lipstick in Black Honey)

I reviewed this a few weeks ago and loved all four products that came in the set. I wanted to let you know that it’s still a continued favorite. I can’t seem to wear anything else on my lips. I also wanted to update you that the two products that I seem to wear most often are the Sweet Pot in Pink Honey- my pick when I just want an easy balm as it also gives me a nice natural, pinky look- and the Almost Lipstick in Black Honey- which I wear whenever I’m wearing a more “legit” makeup look and want a bit “more” on my lips. I put “legit” and “more” in quotes because it’s so natural too that it’s almost laughable describing them that way.

ColourPop Highlighter in Lunch Money

Ever since I wrote my post last week about highlights, I have been using this one non-stop. So no, it hasn’t been in the rotation for long but when I remembered how gorgeous it  was, I knew I had to put that stuff on my face more often! It’s a champagne with a strong sheen and it’s just plain stunning. That’s the only way to describe it. I like the cream to powder formula on my skin. It makes for a natural dewy look that other powders don’t provide.

Mac’s Carefree Eyeshadow paired with Urban Decay’s Beached Bronzer

I’m loving this combo! It’s a wonderfully natural look, easy to wear but still pretty enough to mention here. It’s always nice when your bronzer can double as an eyeshadow. I blend it out lightly in the crease for a warm, yet subtle and slightly more put together look. Unfortunately, Carefree (a white gold champagne) is no longer available, but I had to tell you what I’m actually using just in case you find it on Amazon, at an outlet, or have it in your collection already. Plus, Mac sometimes re-promotes discontinued products.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

I think I like this… I’m going to do a full review soon. It’s not as full coverage as Tarte’s concealer, but I think I’m okay with that… I can say that it’s really the only product I’ve been using for coverage (no foundation) lately.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

I’m not going to say this was a complete fail. I just can’t really make it work for me. I still use this when I want to really cover any acne marks. It is good for that. I don’t know! I guess it just doesn’t completely work for me. I won’t say much more, just read my review I did last week, here.

Loreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara

I’ve known I haven’t liked this mascara for a while, but realized that I need to let y’all know because I have mentioned that I used it in a few makeup looks recently. That’s not because I really like it! I absolutely have to pair it with my CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara to make it work . I keep trying, but no. It just isn’t good. It makes your lashes clumpy and adds no volume. In order to get enough length to make it even worth it, you have to layer it up, ensuring that there will be TONS of clumps. I use my Lash Blast mascara to basically just “comb” out the massive clumps.

Currently Coveting

Surratt Beauty Artistique Blush in La Vie en Rose

I can’t get over how gorgeous this shade looks. I need to get it before summer because I can see myself wearing it constantly as I get some more color on my skin 🙂 I also really want to try this brand!

Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder

I don’t normally wear powders all over my skin, but this one looks right up my alley! I love subtle glow and I’ve heard great things about it.

Makeup Forever Water Blend Foundation

This is Makeup Forever’s replacement for their Face and Body foundation. I already love Mac’s Face and Body foundation and have heard great things about Makeup Forever’s version. It’s sheer and dewy, but supposed to last and look super natural.

Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder

I have been using a new bronzer recently and it’s definitely strictly a bronzer, not a contour. I’m missing my contour shade a bit! This is supposedly amazing, definitely a more grey undertone that works so well for contouring and I already love Kevyn Aucoin’s highlighting powder.

What are you loving at the moment and whats on your wish list?
